Defend me oh God
And plead my cause
Against a Godless nation
For you are my (only) haven

Why have you forsaken me?
Why must I wander in darkness
Send forth your light and truth
Let these be my guide

Rescue me from evil
They taunt me they do
Words pierce through me like a fatal wound!
Asking where can this god of yours be?
How can you trust in what you can not see!

But still I have hope; forever I'll sing
To My Lord my savior, my God and my king
